Late Night Session

Matt got a call from Tony Tyrant to go ride after work. Here's a couple of photos they shot while they were out. Matt's report:
"Man, warm, 65 degree weather, no one around, no crack-heads @ the park, and no cops hassling a couple of guys on bikes...a great night of rolling around and having fun on bikes!"

US Open Results!

Huge congratulations to Ghostship team rider and general-mayhem-provoker Mike Stock! Mike made the trip down to the Dirty Jerz to hurtle down a mountain at ridiculous speeds. When the dust cleared, Mike placed 34th out of 100! Rad! One of our friends and Collective members Brendan Rogers, placed 61st. Not too bad for his first year of down-hilling and his first Open. Great job guys!

Mike, pinn'n it!

The Ghostship Collective...

Another quick video of some of the characters who make up the Ghostship Collective. Ride your bike and have fun!

Rad Photos!

We had a great photo session with our friend Josie tonight. She made Matt look like a million bucks...(you can only straighten crumpled bills out so much, though...). The photos are up on our myspace and in the commerce section at the top of this page. Check out her portfolio @ www.josaleethrift.com. Hit her up if you want your head shots or portraits looking so fresh and clean!

We added a couple new photos so you can check out the hip details of the new Splatter shirt in the commerce section.

Congrats to team rider Mike Stock who qualified in the US Open yesterday, 48th out of 100 for the finals that took place today (Sunday). Final results will be up soon!

Interbike 2007...lost footage....

We found some footage that was shot of our crew in Vegas at the Interbike convention this past year. It's pretty short. And dumb. But we think it's funny...

Thai Tuesdays...

...have nothing to do with this posting. Had thai for lunch. It was rad.

Doug killed it tonight with his presentation @ REI. Afterwards, we all went around the corner, ate some great food, paid waaaaay too much for beer and traded stories of pranking co-workers, uncontrollable pooping, and hitting old ladies with snowballs (for serious!). Great job Doug!

This coming weekend is the US Open in NJ @ Mountain Creek. Ghostship team rider Mike Stock will be down in the Dirty Jerz for a weekend of downhill madness. Get on down if you can and show your support!

Here's a photo of a racer in the recent Tracklocross series that took place in NYC thanks to Mattio, Dan Bones and Team Wreck-Stuff.

Either he looks pretty stoked on his freshly won stuff, or he's trying to figure out what's happening on his Gship shirt. Word on the street is that the series was a blast and if you missed it, you missed out on grass-track racing! When is the next chance you're gonna do that?!

Oh yeah! We added a Cartfly store to our myspace page so you can order stuff. Couple new things up there. Got a few new things in the works as well. Keep a look-out!

Dougy Fresh Rocks REI!

Kinda last minute...sorry. Make some time after work tomorrow evening to head down to REI in West Hartford for 7:00pm to check out Ghostship team rider Doug Jenne giving a presentation on his experience racing in Costa Rica at this past year's La Ruta race. Grueling, taxing and brutal only begin to describe this race (some quoted as,"The hardest mountain bike race in the world!"), his accounts are sure to be entertaining. Show up to support a member of our local cycling community and make a presence for Ghostship! Drinks are being organized post-presentation. Hope to see you all there!

Grand Theft Velo 2

Grand Theft Velo 2 was a smashing success! About 55 racers from at least 5 different cities showed up to race. Racers representing Baltimore, Boston, NYC, even Cape Cod came out to throw down. In the end, Danny from Baltimore won it, followed by Dan from New Haven in 2nd and Bill from NH in 3rd. Matt did his part to keep trackstands and skids in NH by winning both. Skids were won by a NARROW margin as he and the Nuge tied on the second of two runs. Dan crashed on the tie-breaking run, leaving Matt in the lead position. Footdown was also kept in the Elm City as it was won by NH Muffie Lilly. A great showing by the EC Scorchers for sure!

After-party and after-after party were in full-effect. Lots of beer, music and general ridiculousness. We made some new friends, and had a blast riding our bikes. There have been some Doug sightings as his season of self-torture and pain gets underway. Coming soon...

Speaking of coming soon, we have a new shirt design. As soon as the photos are ready, we'll post it here with purchase info. Thanks for being patient. Spring is here. Go ride!
