Please Be Careful!
Yeah, we know we promote riding fast, causing terror and such...but always be ready for the unexpected! Ghostship's very own Matt was hit on the way to work today...he's ok! With a trashed front wheel, bent bars and minor scrapes and stiffness, he's very lucky. He got paid for the damages, so everything's square. Just be careful out there....We'd hate to hear that one of you got hurt because someone behind the wheel did something unexpected or stupid!

CT Cyclocross
Ghostship is sponsoring the Cheshire Cross cyclocross race tomorrow @ Cheshire park....in Cheshire....word! Head on down and check it out! We've got a new shirt design that will debut at the race. Matt's race goes off at noon, so you've got plenty of time to shake off your hangover, get down to the race, give him hell as he rides past, and start again! Check it out!
Our friend Hannah from Circle A Cycles has put together some rad silkscreened posters to help fund her trip to the Cross Nationals out in Kansas City. Head here to her blog to snatch up some copies. These suckas are SUPER limited and will never be printed again! Once they're gone, they're gone! Get on it!

Doug Jenne....madman!
Ghostship team rider Doug Jenne is down in Costa Rica racing what's been dubbed "The World's Hardest Mountain Bike Race", La Ruta de los Conquistadores. He finished a respectable 49th yesterday (in his class) and finished an amazing 141st out of 438 today! To give you a little background, yesterday he covered about 60mi with an elevation gain of 14,501ft!!!!! Today he raced 46miles with 11,887ft of elevation gain. He's got 2 more days to go. Doing fucking awesome! Oh yeah...don't forget that he's racing singlespeed! Only one gear. Amazing.

News...
Not too much going on round here...ok. That's a lie. There a bunch of things. Team rider Dougie Fresh is headed to race La Ruta on Saturday. It's been called 'the world's toughest mountain bike race.' From one side of Costa Rica to the other. Of course he's running it singlespeed! Doug and Matt raced in New Haven about a week ago for Devil's Night 4. A couple of wrong turns here and there, the two started off great, but wound up turned around a few times. Matt had the lead in Skids at the end of the evening, but they were narrowly taken from him by Number 2 by a margin of about 2 feet. So close! Better luck next time!
Matt's been busy handing out Dollar Primes to the Elite Men and Women at a couple of cross races. Good times. The folks over at MASH used one of our photos in their photo set from the NYC premier. Head to their site, click on the NYC premier section and it's the 4th one in. Where's Matt's photo credit? Maybe some stickers?
We're gonna be sponsoring the upcoming CheshireCross Cyclocross race. We'll have a table, selling rad stuff as usual, and will be handing out the infamous Dollar Primes again.
We've been busy on the studio end of things actually securing a studio space. Nothing's firmed up yet, but it may happen in the not so distant future. We've also been working on some new designs. Cycling caps are almost ready, and top-tube pads are being revamped and redesigned. Here's a little preview of what's been going down on our table:

Hand-drawn fonts are rad! More fun to come.
On your to-do list for the weekend:
1. Ride
2. Get rad.
3. Terrorize.
Should be pretty easy. Have fun!

The Sinking Ship....Sinks Again!
Matt's bike is cursed! He's gone through countless tubes, one chainring and cog, one handlebar and stem, and now a Singulator pulley wheel. Cracked clean in half. That led him to being one lap down in Saturday's sufferfest. But like Coach Karp says "As long as you look good, you're doing good!" And Matt was the best dressed there. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself:

-Yeah...in case you're wondering, that's really what he raced in. Getting ready for some Dollar Prime action. photo by Tony T.

-Some racers gett'n busy...

- Circle A Cycles rider Dan Langolis gett'n paid again!
We met some cool folks this weekend. The Gship Terror Squad was in full effect:

All Sparked up and ready to go by 9AM! Gship team rider Dougy Fresh was there with his vicious animal Omega to scare some of the competition. Tony Tyrant did really well, placing about 16th out of 80 or so riders for the CCNS/Pedal Power cycling team. The rain held out for most of the races but it was cold and windy. A typical New England day for cyclocross for sure! Hannah from Circle A Cycles was the only girl from the Elite end of things who seemed stoked on the Dollar Primes. All the other ladies seemed to be too intent on going fast. Met a couple of other cool folks from the Chicago area who traveled out to race (one of whom was racing for Killjoy). Since our heads are clearing from the cold/beer induced fog, we're having a tough time remembering your names...sorry! Next race is November 17th in Cheshire. Ghostship is a sponsor for this one so we hope to see lots of you show up to support! There's plenty of room in the Terror Squad!
