Monday's Randomness...

What has two thumbs and was on the fast-track to getting kicked out of Eli's (on a Sunday night...)?

Punk as Fu*#!

Ever go to a metal show where the singer inevitably gets popped in the mouth with the mic, or a stage-diver's foot, bleeds all over himself, but he finishes the show out anyway? Yeah. Here's Digger. Blood on his lever. But he kept riding anyway. 30 armed ninjas can't slow him down.

Cross Weekend...

We got up early, drove around a lot, got sweaty, got broken, got mad, got hockey temper, got spent, got racers to sprint for dollars...It was a good weekend. Mansfield "Cross" Race was a bust. It wasn't so much a cross race as it was a mountain bike race with a field start. Matt tried to race here. 10 mins in, technical issues coupled with frustrations from earlier in the morning were too much for him to take, and he sent his bike flying off the course (without him on it). Resulted in bent bars, tweaked wheel, tweaked rear end. A trip to our friendly neighborhood shop remedied the situation and he was able to suffer with everyone else Sunday @ the CT Championships in Southington, CT. After causing terror and mayhem on the course, Ghostship represented during the Mens 1,2,3 race with Dolla Prems. Not too many folks had been exposed to this but all were pretty excited once they figured out what was going on. "I think you guys covered our tolls home!" was heard from one racer's wife. A good weekend all in all.

Don't forget about the Alleycats coming up! New Haven, CT - Devil's Night 4, Oct 30th. Hartford, CT - Helloween, Oct 31st.

Cross in CT!!!

We're gonna be at the Mansfield Cyclocross Race tomorrow. Pretty much for the morning. We'll also be at the CT State Championships in Southington on Sunday with friends from the CCNS/Pedal Power team as well as accomplices from Death 2 Dopers. Come on out and cause some mayhem! Gship's Creative Director Matt will be racing both days. If you see him, scream at him to go faster (or spray him with beer)!

Friends...

Ghostship got a nice plug from our Stevil Kinevil and friends over at www.howtoavoidthebummerlife.com. Let's just say that if you like to laugh, check them out. Then head to Swobo and pick up one of these! If you're feeling generous, we like the charcoal one.

Halloween!!!!

Two kick ass races coming up at the end of October:

New Haven is our home-away-from-home. Everyone is extremely personable, totally willing to help you out with whatever you need. I think that anyone from out of town that has ever raced here can attest to this. They also throw a mean race. Past Devil's Night exploits have involved: paintball shootings, police, beer, motorist altercations, etc. Come on out and race with us. Lots of dope prizes up for grabs. Even the good folks over at Tyrant BMX have put together a prize pack for the first racer to complete the haul on a BMX bike. Oh yeah, Gryphon Bikes is putting up a custom frame for the winner! Get to it! And while you're hanging round CT, get on up to Hartford the next evening for their Halloween race. Details/flyer to come.

MASH NYC Premier

Got up with Gship team rider Doug Jenne and fellow EC Scorcher Drew and headed down to the MASH premier in NYC. Ate some tasty falaffel, checked out the Battle at the Banks contest, drank some beer, watched the flick and got to ride around the city. A successful day if there ever was one. If you opted out of going, you really missed out! The film is amazing and will definitely be in our library when it's available. Got to meet up with some old friends (Mattio, Jersey Dan and the NYC crew) and made some new ones. Thanks to Trackstar and DQM and MASH for putting on such a great event! Snapped a few photos while we down there. Check em out!
